Five women bossing it in real estate – Amber Werchon
The REIQ took the time to reach out to five of Queensland’s most prominent real estate women. And yes, it was painfully difficult narrowing down the shortlist to just five. In our opinion, there are hundreds across the State who are absolutely ‘bossing it’.
Among them is the multi-award-winning, business-owning mother of three, Amber Werchon.

SUNSHINE Coast real estate agents have again shown they mean business, taking out two major categories at the 2017 Real Estate Institute of Queensland’s Awards for Excellence.
Amber Werchon Property went one better than the 2014 Medium Residential Agency title, taking out the coveted Large Agency of the Year award.
Agent Profile: Amber Werchon, Director of Amber Werchon Property
Amber Werchon decided not to pursue university but instead entered the workforce at the tender age of 17. Starting out as a receptionist at Ray White, she began selling property a year later and has never looked back.
Today, as sole director of her own agency on the Sunshine Coast, Amber Werchon Property, she has over 40 people on her payroll.
She recently spoke to Elite Agent Magazine about how she single-handedly built a company which was recognised in the 2016 ‘Fast 100’ list by the Australian Financial Review.
Creating her own real estate future
Amber Werchon has just taken what some may consider a risky step, leaving the successful Ray White franchise network to open an independent real estate agency.
Amber’s flying solo
Amber Werchon, Queensland’s top residential real estate agent, has revealed she is preparing to leave Ray White Real Estate and go out on her own.
And while she will be starting out small – if a team of 20 can be called small – Amber plans to one day have her smiling face on “For Sale” signs the length and breadth of the Coast.
